Having qualified with Ernst & Young, I quickly left the accountancy sector. I have been a Director of two listed companies, a Director of Deloitte Consulting and KPMG Consulting and have also established, run and sold three businesses. I specialise in getting SMEs ‘Fit for Funding and Growth’ and regard R&D Tax Credits as a major part of the plethora of funding options available to them. My passions are Motorcycling (advanced on road and on track instructor), Scuba Diving (advanced instructor) and cycling (on and off road)
‘Blazing Saddles’ (Mel Brooks) and ‘Shine on you Crazy Diamond’ (Pink Floyd)
My dive computer – it is a real life saver and I still have no idea how it can perform all those functions (and at such great depths and pressures!)
It simplifies it (more often than not) but can cause major catastrophes when it goes wrong!
Getting to meet a huge variety of different people and their businesses – and the results of our work leave them much better off than when they first met us!
I would make a huge effort to market it to every SME in the country – MI5 would be proud of how well the government have kept this secret!
Solar Power Panels – providing life-saving, but simple technology to remote villages around the world – specifically to power water pumps, but also for electricity in general.
A cheap and reliable battery that can be solar charged and used to store electricity in remote villages, without using dangerous metals that people are exploited to produce.
